People are experiencing what seems to be higher levels of stress and anxiety than ever before.

According to the American Psychological Association, the nature of stress has changed over the past five years. 2020 was characterized by acute, short term, pandemic, fear, whereas 2025 was marked by chronic, ongoing societal, political, and economic anxiety.

The sources of stress range anywhere from societal division, too high financial anxiety, to emerging technology stress, loneliness, overall anxiety or nervousness or fatigue and workplace burnout.
